Xunlai Tournament House Points for 10th September
As many are aware, there were some technical problems that affected some players who made Xunlai Tournament House predictions. As a result of these issues, these players did not receive their points for making August predictions. We do have a list of those who were not properly credited for their August points, and we have the exact number of points these players are due.
If you opened a support ticket about this issue, you were informed that we would be distributing your August points with an upcoming build. You may have also read about this in another thread on the forums.
As an update to this situation, I've been notified by the team that we will be able to replace these points in the next month's build (October), when we distribute points for the September predictions.
We apologize for the delay in crediting your points and the inconvenience to you.

Thanks for the post! It sucks that those who didn't get points need to wait that long, but at least they're getting em.

What i want to know is what kind of problem that's being addressed for people who did not receive their points?
I didn't register my account in-game at Tolkano [Tournament] and that prevented me from getting my points. Will people who didn't receive their points because of this get them in October's update also?

I believe you have to have a registered account (ingame) to be able to join into the predictions. One ingame and one on the xunlai page. If you miss one of those, your predictions aren't valid. Could be wrong though...
Thanks for clearing that up. Support was very friendly and responded fast as well. Glad we have a date for the arrival of the missing reward points now too ^^

Glad they are getting their points. Though I wouldn't say it is that late of a response. Only a few days later.

Almost a week is a very late response for a business to handle matters of public relations.

But you can't expect them to work 24/7, and so you can't expect they fix every major(can I call this major?) issue in seconds flat. Be happy that at least they fixed the problem in the right fashion this time.(rememeber the skill changes......?boy oh boy were some of they b-a-d)

I don't expect them to work 24/7, I don't expect them to fix issues quickly, but I do expect them to report the issues to the effected public quickly. Considering it took them 6 days to simply make a note about it, that's bad.

Thank you for the update! Im glad that Anet is addressing the problem. How Anet handled this i dont mind in fact I applaud. They really dont owe us anything and they are making an effort to please you.
How some guru ppl and moderators handled posts from ppl who did not get their reward points ... I do find fault. Some posts from the more experienced Guild Wars veterans were dismissive, insensitve, condescending, and inappropriate. What is Guru for but for questioning what is going on in the game and giving advice. Guru is for everyone, new and old, wise and naive. If some of the new ppl make mistakes, be patient and either ignore or share your wisdom not your scorn. My two cents.

/applaude, cheer, bow, roar!
Could not agree more...
I do however feel that if Anet at least made a post (stickied by mods) that they are aware of the issue and sorting it out as soon as possible (don't even need a date), a lot of whining by both members and mods could have been averted
but then again, that's just my 2 cents ^_^

Better late than never, 2-4 months worth of points on one day should be nice.

I also have to guess you have not worked for many large businesses based on this idiotic statement.

OK, so the way you see it they should do this:
Day 1 "Well we are not sure what the problem is yet but, we will let you know as soon as we find something out."
Day 2 "Well we are not sure what the problem is yet but, we will let you know as soon as we find something out."
Day 3 "Well we are not sure what the problem is yet but, we will let you know as soon as we find something out."
Day 4 "Well we are not sure what the problem is yet but, we will let you know as soon as we find something out."
Day 5 "Well we are not sure what the problem is yet but, we will let you know as soon as we find something out."
Day 6 "Well we are not sure what the problem is yet but, we will let you know as soon as we find something out."
Day 7 "OK we figured it out, everyone who didn't get there points will get them next month."
Dude you really need to get a clue on how business operates.
ps
Thanks for the update, I will let others know that don't read these boards anymore.

hahaha you are assuming a) that the "fix" works correctly for everyone (having been in this situation and having to wait 4 months for points -not a 100% banker) and b) that next month doesnt have a glitch .
Thank you for the update Regina, it would be appreciated if you could comment exactly either what the glitches were or what the fixes are as I had two new accounts that although were registered at the website, werent with tolkano.
I would prefer this was made clear here than having several more people sending tickets into support to confirm the same thing.

I would suggest that maybe on day 1 or 2 when it became apparent, that a post was made along the following lines:
We have been made aware of a problem with the Xunlai Agent Points. we are currently looking into it and will make a general update post when we have further information.
This a) makes the customers aware that anet knows of the issue and are looking into it and b) others that havent checked to be aware of a possible issue instead of shouting from the rooftops.
Just my opinion
